State minister of trade integration and promotion Mr. Kasahun Gofe said that the African economy is expected to grow by 7 percent or 450 billion US dollars in 2035.
He has said that AfCFTA has gone through many negotiation processes and is getting closer to the implementation phase.
Ethiopia signed the agreement in March, 2018. The state minister explained that the trade system has been approved and that there are many works that can prevent the further implementation of free trade.
Mr. Kassahun mentioned that awareness creation works have been done to prepare the business community and the manufacturer.
The 4th round of awareness training that the ministry of trade and further relations is giving in collaboration with Trademark Africa is currently under way for executives, business community and scholars from southern region and Sidama region.
